The galaxy has been taking a pounding (see our previous Marvel Cosmic Reading Order). First, the Annihilation Wave tore through, wiping out whole worlds and killing the entire Nova Corps. Then the attempt by the Phalanx to take control of the Kree Empire caused further harm. Now the Earth is about to be invaded by the Skrulls, the Inhumans will take control of their destiny in the stars, the Shi’ar Empire will spread aggressively and an intergalactic war will threaten to rend the very fabric of reality itself asunder!
While the heroes of Earth continue to deal with their own issues, the fate of the rest of the universe is on the hands of the newly-reformed Nova Corps and the new team of heroes, the Guardians of the Galaxy. When the cosmos faces its biggest threat yet, will these heroes be out of their depth?
Must Reads: Story arcs marked with a ✔ are must-read stories from this time period, along with any key related stories and often-forgotten tales that are worth a read.
Anthology Issues: When an issue contains multiple stories, the relevant story is denoted with square brackets. For example, [2/5] refers to the second story of the five stories in that issue, so you don’t need to read the other four.
