Returning Reflections (1985) Reading Order


Rogues don’t kill, but it doesn’t mean they won’t mess each other up! Mirror Master and Captain Boomerang leave the Flash’s favourite city behind them to focus on crime in Gotham City. But just because Batman & Robin don’t have powers, it doesn’t mean they’re powerless…

Batman #388
Captain Boomerang and Mirror Master both try to steal the priceless Tien Hsu Jade Necklace from the Gotham Museum, putting them at odds and making them targets for Batman. Mirror Master accepts an offer to become the new leader of the False Face Society. Captain Boomerang escapes the False Facers when Batman distracts them. Robin and Sergeant Harvey Bullock apprehend Mirror Master, but he uses mirrors in his teeth to effect his escape! Captain Boomerang turns one of Mirror Master’s mirrors into a boomerang and uses it in an attempt to hypnotise his nemesis into committing murder on his behalf…

Detective Comics #555 [1/2]
As the skies go red over Gotham (due to the events of CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS, 1985-1986), Harvey Bullock smashes the Bat-Signal when he gets over-excited about Batman’s plan to catch the Rogues. Taking the bait, Captain Boomerang commands Mirror Master to steal the jade necklace as it leaves the museum, though he ends up taking Bullock prisoner. Mirror Master faked being hypnotised and fights back when Captain Boomerang tries to take the box containing necklace. But all that’s in the box is shards of the broken Bat-Signal. Batman takes down Captain Boomerang and Mirror Master.
