After Thanos‘ attempt to wipe out half the universe was undone, Adam Warlock took the all-powerful Infinity Gauntlet himself. But Eternity and the Living Tribunal decided the Infinity Gems should never again be used in unison again and commanded Walock to divide the Gems amongst appropriate hosts (see THE INFINITY GAUNTLET, 1991-1992). Instead, he gifted the gems to Drax the Destroyer, Gamora, Moondragon, Pip the Troll and one unnamed other. They agreed to form an alliance as the Infinity Watch. But what happens when a threat so great emerges and the Infinity Gauntlet is the only thing capable of stopping it?
