Knight Terrors (2023) Reading Order

Following the events of DARK CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS, the Justice League have disbanded. And with the fall of the Lazarus Rain during LAZARUS PLANET, the landscape of the DC Universe has changed. Despite the heroes thinking they’d already experienced their worst nightmares, things are about to step up a notch as a new threat rises and threatens to turn the world’s opinions against the costumed adventurers once and for all…

The majority of the ‘Knight Terrors’ tie-ins were released as a number of two-issue mini-series over the course of two months – replacing the ongoing issues of titles like Action Comics, Batman and The Flash, while a handful of characters without ongoing titles – such as Ravager and Angel Breaker – also received their own Knight Terrors minis.

This event is a part of DC’s line-wide DAWN OF DC titles, which will be broken down in a future reading order. And the even itself leads directly into later events such as BEAST WORLD and ABSOLUTE POWER – see our Fallout section for the full list!

Major Event: With a primary mini-series and numerous related tie-ins, Knight Terrors is a major event  in a series of major events from the ‘Dawn of DC’ era.

Must-Reads: Issues marked with a ✔are essential to the story; Catwoman’s mini-series isn’t necessarily essential to ‘Knight Terrors’, but it influences the next DC Universe event, ‘The Gotham War’.

Anthology Issues: When an issue contains multiple stories, the relevant story is denoted with square brackets. For example, [2/5] refers to the second story of the five stories in that issue.

Dawn of DC: Every issue falls under the banner of DC Comics’ Dawn of DC initiative.

Spoilers: The issue descriptions and fallout section contain spoilers, so be warned!
