Hunt And Be Hunted (2013) Reading Order

Robin and Supergirl of Earth 2 were catapulted from their reality (during THE GATHERING) and became stranded on Prime Earth. Supergirl (Kara Zor-El) took on the identity of ‘Karen Starr’ and spent the last five years amassing a fortune to pay for the research that might enable their return home. Robin (Helena Wayne) focused on fighting crime as the Huntress.

Recently, the duo reunited and defended themselves from an attack by the Apokolyptian threat Hakkou, with ‘Karen’ taking the costumed identity Power Girl. Soon after, Prime Earth’s Robin (Damian Wayne) confronted Huntress for tapping into Bruce Wayne’s fortune, learned her origins and promised to keep her existence a secret from Batman. Like it’s easy to keep anything secret from the Dark Knight of any Earth…

Minor Crossover: While the ‘DeSaad’ issue relates directly to this story, it can be considered an optional chapter; the ‘Supergirl’ issues also only loosely tie in to the main story.

Worlds’ Finest #10
In the weeks that follow, Huntress’ arm heals and Power Girl retaliates against Holt Industries, believing Michael Holt to be behind the attack on Starr Island. Huntress finds out her ‘brother’ from this reality – Damian Wayne, aka Robin – recently died on a mission. Power Girl flies Huntress away from Robin’s grave but they’re spotted by Batman. The police investigate Huntress’ break-in at Holt Industries and find Michael Holt at home. Huntress reveals to Power Girl that Holt is Mister Terrific.
This story also ties in to REQUIEM.

Huntress breaks into Holt Industries and finds evidence that Michael Holt is alive, and far more ruthless. ‘Karen Starr’ runs a tech event in Las Vegas to draw out Holt Industries, only for Michael Holt himself to show up! Holt walks right up to Karen and drops his magical disguise, revealing himself to be Darkseid’s right-hand man, DeSaad

Power Girl rescues Supergirl from the team assigned to detaining her. Physical contact brings Supergirl to consciousness and the two women share a psychic flash of shared memories. Lex Luthor sends Appex to test their abilities. They win, but the poisoning affects Supergirl again. Power Girl takes her to the Sanctuary of Solitude which grants Power Girl a new costume. When the Sanctuary senses more than one Kara Zor-El, it prepares to eradicate Power Girl…

Supergirl talks the Sanctuary of Solitude out of killing Power Girl. But a chromo-scan reveals Supergirl actually is a clone and tries to eradicate her, instead. Power Girl helps destroy the Sanctuary and save Supergirl. They watch the sunrise together, unaware the the Sanctuary’s ‘Eradicator’ still functions beneath the ocean…
Worlds’ Finest #12 (pp.13-20)
In the days following DeSaad’s attack, Starr Enterprises starts falling apart. While Power Girl (in a new costume) & Huntress deal with an explosion at one of Starr’s labs, DeSaad leads his forces against Starr Island. He destroys everything and takes the only survivor captive…

Five years ago, DeSaad found himself on Prime Earth after losing the war on Earth 2. One year ago, having established an organisation of his own on Prime Earth, DeSaad’s forces, led by Cutter, attempt to steal the Quantum Tunneller from Holt Industries, only to find it and Michael Holt gone. DeSaad sent Hakkou the Irradiated Man to destroy the Tunneller obtained by Karen Starr. He then tried to subvert an artist who refuses to acknowledge his existence. Now, DeSaad calls upon Darkseid to bring him home to Apokolips, though he remains unheard… or ignored.
This story also ties in to VILLAINS MONTH.

Holt Industries tries to stage a hostile takeover of Starr Industries. Huntress & Power Girl are attacked by DeSaad’s Warhounds.
