Deadpool & Wolverine Reading Order, 1994-Present: Katanas vs Claws

With the release of the Deadpool & Wolverine movie and following on from our recent DEADPOOL VS WOLVERINE pod/video episode, we figured we’d celebrate every clash, team-up and pretty much every near-miss they’ve ever had! The two first shared the page together when Deadpool showed up in Wolverine’s ongoing title in 1994, though they clearly knew each other already!

So let’s take a look at their complete comic book history together – all in chronological order – starting with the occasional clash and ending with them as reluctant drinking buddies…

Must Reads: Story arcs marked with a ✔ are must-read stories from this time period, along with any key related stories and often-forgotten tales that are worth a read.

Chronology: Every shared appearance of Deadpool and Wolverine is included in chronological order, laying out their timeline rather than just the order the issues were released.

Anthology Issues: When an issue contains multiple stories, the relevant story is denoted with square brackets. For example, [2/5] refers to the second story of the five stories in that issue, so you don’t need to read the other four.

Spoilers: The issue/story overviews may include spoilers, so be warned!
