When DC Comics relaunched their universe in 2011, they were met with critical praise for some of their fresh takes on their biggest characters, but also received backlash from fans who felt the rug had been pulled out from under them after years of loyalty.
Sure, the change felt sudden and business-driven, but that doesn’t detract from the fact that there are some real gems from that controversial era. Not every title struck gold, but some generated positive media buzz and brought new fans to the comics.
